Zach Smith

Event Coordinator

Zach joined America Makes as the Event Manager in July of 2023. In this role, he strategizes and works with a cross-functional team to grow the additive manufacturing ecosystem through coordination and execution of the Institute’s events, conferences, and trade shows.

Zach has over 13 years of experience in event management. He was previously the co-founder of Pendulum Creative where he collaborated with clients to formulate the brand and creative vision for their business. He custom-designed events for his clientele, coordinated logistics, and executed and analyzed the impact to both the business and its stakeholders. Zach also has extensive experience as a producer and was employed at Engage & Resonate where he managed the production department. He helped produce several award-winning events for Leo Burnett including the Pantene Gold Series Tour, ComEd Icebox Derby 2017, and The Field Museum Specimens pop-up vocal booth. His career also includes positions as a Jr. Account Manager and Associate Producer at Mosaic where he was responsible for the worldwide branding and event production for StubHub and eBay.

Zach received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Visual Communications from Loyola University in Chicago.
