As the national accelerator for additive manufacturing (AM) and 3D printing (3DP), America Makes and its membership community of more than 170 organizations share a common goal to innovate and accelerate AM and 3DP to increase our nation’s global manufacturing competitiveness. Today, no single AM organization has the resources or the partnerships to develop the standards, tools, education, and research required to accomplish this goal.
Among our diverse ranks are Fortune 1000 manufacturers, small- and medium-sized enterprises, academic institutions, non-profit organizations, and government agencies. A membership in America Makes puts you at the table with the AM and 3D printing industry’s thought leaders and innovators. Members receive significant benefits, including access to valuable intellectual property, technical presentations, project calls, and much more.
NCDMM, through America Makes, currently manages a portfolio of more than $100 million in public and private funds for members to advance the state-of-the-art in AM and 3DP in the United States through applied research and development (R&D) projects. America Makes was established in 2012 and is based in Youngstown, Ohio as the flagship Institute for the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation (NNMI) infrastructure.
