Alexander serves as the Operations Director of the America Makes Leadership Team, responsible for ensuring operational excellence, executing strategic initiatives, and managing the programmatic success of Institute projects. He leads the execution of customer initiatives, oversees continuous operational improvements, and guides staff development to drive business growth and advance the Institute’s mission of promoting additive manufacturing (AM) innovation across the nation.

As the head of the America Makes Operations Team, Alexander coordinates efforts across membership, strategic communications, events, project portfolio management, and office administration. He ensures the effective execution of the current Cooperative Agreement and all associated deliverables. His project management expertise and focus on aligning business, technical, and workforce development (EWD) strategies make him a critical driver to success. He also works closely with the Office of the Secretary of Defense Manufacturing Technology (OSD ManTech) Office and the Government Program Management team to ensure alignment with the broader Department of Defense (DoD) mission.

Prior to joining the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) in 2020, Alexander served as Vice President of Operations at Altronic, LLC, a HOERBIGER Group company and a global leader in industrial engine ignition and control systems. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe, Germany, and has completed numerous leadership and operations management courses throughout his career.
