Nick Leone

Senior Project Engineer

Nick joined NCDMM in September 2020 as a Project Engineer, aligning his interest in and manufacturing experience with emerging technologies, specifically additive manufacturing. He is currently a Senior Project Engineer and is responsible for technical project management and execution, as well as internal continuous improvement efforts.

Prior to joining NCDMM, Nick worked for Aptiv (formerly Delphi Packard Electric) for 26 years. During his tenure, he worked primarily as a Senior Tooling Engineer in both Aptiv’s New Tool Build group and its injection molding plant in Vienna, Ohio. In this role, Nick managed projects ranging from the design, build, and debug of new molds to mass tooling moves and re-approvals. He was also responsible for providing technical expertise and troubleshooting guidance on tooling and quality problems for approximately 800 active tools in a high-volume production environment.

Nick holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Youngstown State University. He also earned a Six Sigma Black Belt and an ASTM Additive Manufacturing General Personnel Certificate.
