Nick Leone

Senior Project Engineer

Nick joined NCDMM in 2020 as a Project Engineer, aligning his interest in and manufacturing experience with emerging technologies, specifically additive manufacturing. He is responsible for technical project management and execution, and internal continuous improvement efforts.

Prior to NCDMM, Nick worked for Aptiv (formerly Delphi Packard Electric) for 26 years, where he was a Senior Tooling Engineer in both Aptiv’s New Tool Build group and its injection molding plant in Vienna, OH. He managed projects ranging from designing, building, and debugging of new molds to mass tooling moves and re-approvals. He also provided technical expertise and troubleshooting guidance on tooling and quality problems for approximately 800 active tools in a high-volume production environment.

Nick holds a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Youngstown State University. He earned a Six Sigma Black Belt and an ASTM Additive Manufacturing General Personnel Certificate.
