Litsa Rubino
Program Manager
Litsa joined NCDMM in 2021 as a Senior Project Engineer and was promoted to Program Manager in 2024. She manages Institute technology projects and is responsible for leading internal strategy development and forming new project efforts that focus on integrating additive manufacturing into casting and forging technology.
Prior to NCDMM, Litsa worked for Aptiv (formerly Delphi Automotive Systems) for 31 years serving, in various product engineering and supervision roles. While at Aptiv, she was responsible for the management of advanced technology development processes, which ensured a detailed review of projects relating to the design and manufacture of rubber and plastic compounds, automotive cable and wiring assemblies. Through these roles, she established strong collaborations with universities, suppliers, and other research entities which allowed for the study and evaluation of emerging material technologies and the identification of potential applications of these technologies in future products.
Litsa holds a master’s in Polymer Engineering from The University of Akron, a bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Youngstown State University, and a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. She was inducted into the Delphi Innovation Hall of Fame, which recognized her contributions to the lightweighting of cables used in automotive wiring assemblies. She also holds several patent awards showcasing her strong skill set in project management and her commitment to completing projects.
