Litsa Rubino

Program Manager

Litsa joined NCDMM in 2021 as a Senior Project Engineer and was promoted to Program Manager in 2024. In her role, she manages Institute technology projects and is also responsible for leading internal strategy development and formation of new project efforts that focus on integrating additive manufacturing into casting and forging technology. Prior to joining NCDMM, Litsa worked for Aptiv (formerly Delphi Automotive Systems) for 31 years serving in a variety of product engineering and supervision roles. While at Aptiv she was responsible for the management of advanced technology development processes which ensured detailed review of projects relating to the design and manufacture of rubber and plastic compounds and automotive cable and wiring assemblies. Through these roles she established strong collaborations with universities, suppliers and other research entities which allowed for the study and evaluation of emerging material technologies and the identification of potential application of these technologies into future products.

Litsa holds a Master of Science in Polymer Engineering from The University of Akron, a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Youngstown State University and is Six Sigma Black Belt certified. She was inducted into the Delphi Innovation Hall of Fame which recognized her contributions in the light weighting of cables used in automotive wiring assemblies. She also holds several patent awards which showcases her strong skill set in project management and her commitment to bringing projects to completion.
