Jose Luis Coronel, Jr.

Project Engineer

Jose joined NCDMM in 2025 as a Project Engineer and is responsible for managing projects and providing engineering design and technical analysis, along with process coordination, and implementation strategies.  

Jose brings nearly a decade of mechanical engineering, program leadership, and educational expertise. Before his role at NCDMM, he served as the DRIVE AM Program Manager at The University of Texas at El Paso’s W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation. DRIVE AM enhances additive manufacturing education and workforce training for defense and civilian sectors. At the Keck Center, he also led undergraduate and graduate students on the award-winning Compact Additively Manufactured Innovative Electric Motor (CAMIEM) project, recognized by NASA and The Engineers’ Council. 

Jose received a bachelor’s and master’s in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas El Paso.
