NCDMM Unveils Brand Refresh, New Website, Impact Video to Strengthen National Presence, Mission Awareness

JOHNSTOWN, PA – The National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM), a trusted leader in advancing manufacturing innovation for the U.S. defense industry, has announced a comprehensive brand refresh, accompanied by the launch of a redesigned website and new impact video. These initiatives are part of a strategic effort to unify the organization’s identity, deepen stakeholder engagement, and strengthen NCDMM’s national presence.

A Unified Brand – A Cohesive Mission
As NCDMM has expanded its programs, capabilities, and geographic footprint, it has also taken steps to simplify its brand structure and messaging. Moving forward, the organization will present itself externally as a single, unified entity – NCDMM – across all platforms and locations. The Advanced Manufacturing Innovation and Integration Center (AMIIC) sub-brand will be phased out, with its mission fully integrated under the NCDMM name. Flagship programs America Makes and El Paso Makes will continue under NCDMM’s management, maintaining their specialized focus areas.

“Internal and external research confirmed the need for a clearer, more consistent brand,” said Gary Fleegle, Chief Executive Officer of NCDMM. “This refresh allows us to communicate our purpose with greater clarity, reduce market confusion, and reinforce the full scope of our national impact.”

Digital Modernization: Website Launch and Impact Video
In alignment with the refreshed brand, NCDMM has also launched a redesigned website that delivers a more user-friendly, accessible experience for partners, stakeholders, and the advanced manufacturing community. The upgraded platform offers:

  • Improved navigation and search tools for quick access to programs, services, and technical insights.
  • A modern design and streamlined content that reflects NCDMM’s forward-leaning mission.
  • Enhanced Alliance Partner access via a centralized portal for collaboration and resource sharing.
  • Greater transparency into ongoing projects and opportunities to engage with NCDMM’s nationwide efforts.

Complementing the website launch is a new impact video that captures NCDMM’s story – who we are, what we do, and the values that drive our work. The video offers a dynamic introduction to NCDMM’s leadership role in accelerating innovation for the defense industrial base. Watch the video HERE.

“With seven locations supporting diverse initiatives, our digital presence plays a vital role in strengthening relationships and delivering timely, relevant information,” said Jim Fisher, Chief Operating Officer of NCDMM. “The refreshed website and brand identity position us to better serve our stakeholders and scale our impact.”

Looking Ahead
The rollout of the brand refresh and digital assets is already underway and will continue over the coming months through a thoughtful and managed transition, which includes signage, partner communications, marketing collateral, and more. Physical sites will now be referred to by location (e.g., NCDMM in Huntsville, NCDMM in Johnstown), further reinforcing brand consistency.

“We continue to build a brand that reflects our core mission and unwavering commitment to collaboration, innovation, and service to the nation’s defense and manufacturing communities. We’re proud to present an identity as agile and forward-thinking as the technologies and workforce solutions we’ve delivered for more than two decades,” said Fleegle.
