NCDMM Committed to Advanced Cybersecurity Measures to Protect CUI

NCDMM achieves perfect score on first JSVA

JOHNSTOWN, PA – The National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) is proud to announce the achievement of a perfect 110 score on its first 800-171 Joint Surveillance Voluntary Assessment (JSVA) completed by Kieri Solutions, a Cyber-AB Authorized C3PAO, and overseen by the Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Assessment Center (DIBCAC). This assessment assures that NCDMM meets compliance with the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), designed to protect data in the defense industrial base and a requirement for securing DoD contracts. CMMC is largely based on the firm cybersecurity standards published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

NCDMM partners with stakeholders in government, military, advanced manufacturing, and academia to execute applied research and development projects to improve the DoD’s weapon and support systems by integrating key technologies, new materials, and innovative manufacturing processes. Completion of the JSVA demonstrates NCDMM’s commitment to implementing the most advanced cybersecurity measures to handle and protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), which is critical to the work NCDMM manages with its industry and government partners.

“I am proud of our organization’s proactive approach to securing our systems and reducing our overall cybersecurity risk. Our organization can now clearly demonstrate that we take the necessary steps to protect the data of our customers and Alliance Partners,” says Gary Fleegle, Chief Executive Officer of NCDMM. “I would like to commend our entire IT team for their dedication and efforts on this achievement. We are committed to a strong security posture and will remain ever vigilant, evolving our system security to provide an unparalleled level of protection for our stakeholders.”
