AMIIC Name Transitioning to NCDMM as Part of National Brand Refresh
JOHNSTOWN, PA – The National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) is reminding local partners and stakeholders that the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation and Integration Center (AMIIC) name is being officially retired as part of NCDMM’s national brand refresh.
Going forward, the location known as AMIIC will operate as NCDMM in Huntsville, reflecting a unified organizational identity that better communicates the full scope of NCDMM’s mission, programs, and national impact. The mission, team, and capabilities in Huntsville remain unchanged.
What’s Changing:
- The AMIIC name will be phased out.
- You’ll begin to see references to NCDMM across signage, communications, and materials.
- The AMIIC LinkedIn page will be deactivated. Please follow NCDMM HERE.
“This is a name change for AMIIC, not a mission change,” said Gary Fleegle, Chief Executive Officer of NCDMM. “Our Huntsville presence continues to play a key role in advancing defense manufacturing innovation, and this shift simply aligns it with the broader NCDMM brand.”
There is no contractual impact for our partners and collaborators. All agreements and collaborations have always been held under the NCDMM name, so no changes are required from a contractual standpoint. “This rebrand is about streamlining our identity, not altering our legal or operational structure with existing partners,” Fleegle said.
Why the Change Matters:
- Ensures brand consistency across all NCDMM locations and programs.
- Reduces confusion for partners and stakeholders operating nationally.
- Reinforces NCDMM’s growing role as a unified leader in advancing the defense industrial base.
This local update is part of a broader nationwide effort that includes a redesigned website, ncdmm.org, and an impact video that tells the NCDMM story. Watch the video HERE.
