Drilling...The (W)Hole Story **FREE**
February 18, 2010
1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Online

Join us for a FREE webinar on February 18.

The NTMA is offering a complimentary Webcast of the NCDMM's "Drilling...The (W)Hole Story" course being presented by Matt Phillips of the Kennametal Knowledge Center.

This webcast is intended to enhance the skills and knowledge of advanced machinists, toolmakers and engineers in the manufacturing industry.

During this webcast you will:

  • Gain a basic understanding of the mechanics of drilling along with the impact of workpiece materials, cutting tool materials, feed rates on tool life, chisel and point angles on self-centering and thrust, self-centering on hole-quality, the point angle on burrs, and corner chamfers on break out.
  • Learn how to select appropriate drills, spot application issues with various wear and use indicators, and troubleshoot other common drilling problems.

This one hour webcast is a condensed version of the NCDMM's full day course offered in Latrobe, PA.  After attending the webcast, if you have interest in learning more by attending the full day course, please contact amy.good@ncdmm.org.
