Larry A. Maier

President and Owner
Peerless Precision, Inc.

Since 1977, Larry A. Maier has been the President and owner of the Westfield, Massachusetts based, Peerless Precision, Inc., a high technology, precision machine shop serving the aerospace and defense industries.

Prior to his role at Peerless Precision, Mr. Maier was President and Founder of American Business Interlink, a marketing and consulting firm in Chicago from 1990 through 1997 where he worked with small and start-up companies. Mr. Maier conducted marketing related business seminars as an activity of the business and was an invited speaker at events sponsored by Inc. Magazine, local chambers of commerce, and others.

He held various finance, marketing, and operations positions at Digital Equipment Corp., Hillenbrand Industries; ServiceMaster, Inc.; International Products Manufacturing Corp.; and Beta Graphics from 1979 - 1997. He taught MBA courses in entrepreneurship at both DePaul and Lewis Universities and published over three dozen articles on small business between 1993 and 1997. He also taught high school math for 5 years in Richmond, Virginia.

Mr. Maier has been active with the Western Massachusetts Chapter of the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA) and is the Chapter's immediate past president and current trustee. He is also a member of National Defense Industrial Association's (NDIA) Manufacturing and STEM workforce committees.

Over the years, Mr. Maier has been quoted in papers such as the Boston Globe, the Springfield Republican, the Chicago Tribune, and the Wall Street Journal relative to small business, manufacturing, and skilled labor topics.

Mr. Maier holds a BA in Math from the University of Richmond and an MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
