Through JUMPEDSM, comprehensive manufacturing processes are completely developed and verified at the NCDMM by leveraging advanced manufacturing technologies. The culmination of the project is the delivery of the “ultimate” solution to the defense end-user (either a DoD or contractor facility) for immediate turnkey or “plug-and-play” use.

JUMPEDSM can begin with component creation and associated design for manufacturing activities and proceed all the way through a review of appropriate manufacturing technologies, process development, “proof-of-concept,” training and implementation at DoD stakeholder facilities with no disruption to current operations.
