The NCDMM annual summit fosters an environment for collaboration between government facilities, large OEMs, part fabricators, service providers, technology developers and academic organizations. With a new venue this year (Four Points by Sheraton in Greensburg, Pennsylvania), Summit 2010 promises to bring new learning and expanded networking opportunities to an extended audience. With expectations of reaching roughly 200 guests, Summit 2010 will offer additional time for networking and a number of informational and motivating presentations by representatives within the defense and manufacturing industries.
May 5th will be an action packed day of presentations, networking, and technology displays. In the morning, speakers from the DoD will present their views of manufacturing and the importance of "Transitioning Innovation in Manufacturing." In the afternoon, Summit 2010 will offer two parallel tracks of presentations. Track one will focus on "Supply Chain Demands" for those organizations looking to understand how to work with prime contractors, small business representatives within the DoD, and the importance of quality certifications. Track two will focus on "Emerging Technologies" and their impact on the industry. Following the day's presentations will be an evening reception for attendees to network, gain an understanding of the technologies displayed, and build mutually beneficial relationships.
